Domain delete fails - claims alias accounts exist but there are none that I see

I am trying to delete a domain from one oranization so it can be added
to another as a separate account. I deleted all of the USERS first
but when attemtping to delete the domain it fails with message"Aliases
exist in domain mydomain.com; please delete them before deleting the
domain.". However, I can find no alias accounts at the user ro domain
level.
I need to get this domain deleted so I can establish new service for
the domain. Any ideas?
