Hello,
I am putting together an NEA grant for the posting of poetry at Portland schools, libraries, residences, and businesses in what are being called Poetry Boxes.  They are also known as Poetry Posts.  Simply put they are poetry on a stick placed near a building's pedestrian thoroughfare.  We already have a smartphone app prototype. To receive the up to $20,000 in matching funds I need a keynote speaker who is an expert on Emily Dickinson, Robinson Jeffers, and/or Henry Longfellow.  The one question I need answered at this time is...

Are you or do you know of someone who is a Dickinson/Jeffers/Longfellow expert?

Thank you for your time and guidance,
David Cooke

Hi David,

I heard Ellen Louise Hart and another local woman whose name I can
remember give a presentation on Dickinson at the Belmont Library about
18 months ago. She's listed as an associate editor of the Dickinson
Electronic Archives, and there's an email address for her here:

http://www.emilydickinson.org/about_us.html

Happy searching,

Matt

As to Longfellow and Dickenson, all the experts I know are in Massachusetts where I was raised and went to college. As to Jeffers, you might check in with Tim Barnes at PCC Sylvania. Hope you can identify a local resource in a timely fashion.

Cheers,
Laurence
