Helicopter Over W&OD trail

Anyone know why there's a helicopter hovering low (low enough to set my shrubbery waving) over the W&OD near Railroad Avenue, moving slowly West towards Fairfax?  A crewmember with binoculars seems to be scanning the area.  It doesn't appear to be a police copter, but I'm no expert.  This is at 12:30 pm February 25.

I saw this in ARL now yesterday- looks to be the same helicopter

Typically, it means there’s BOLO out for someone. It’s likely a Fairfax heli. They’ve used this search technique for the last 40 years.
