How was your Thanksgiving everybody? Me, I ate too
much again.

But now I'm back to work and want to know ...

Are you ready to shake up the Music Distribution
Industry as we know it?

We are looking for passionate Podcasters who want to
team up with us and play the songs from the artists on
our Charts.

We just released the Podcast Music Wizard, in my
opinion, the best podcast recording software there is.
We'll be charging $100 for this, but if you act fast
and become an Approved Music Partner, you can get it
for free.

You can drag n drop songs, promos and sponsors from
our site to a new podcast. You can add segways, efx,
interviews or any other mp3 or wav file and it
automatically overlays segways on to the end or
beginning of songs, producing a very professional
sounding podcast.

In recognition of your hard work of promoting them,
Artists opt to share revenue from song sales and
sponsors, with you, Most are sharing 30%. With every
episode you create, you can opt to give that revenue
back to the artists, to charity or keep it.

Each Episode created, requires inclusion of an
Approved Music Partners' promo. Our plan is to
cross-promote each other and grow to be the largest,
most prominent music podcasters on the planet.
Together, with each of your iPod Plugins offering
songs for sale on your site, we can become the
greatest music resellers on earth, responsible for
generating the most revenue that goes directly to
artists.

I hope you elect to join us in this vision. Our
Podcast Music Wizard is just one of the things we are
doing to make it easy to help our artists earn what
they deserve.

If you are passionate about helping artists earn what
they deserve, I expect you will be joining us.

Here is a link to the video tutorial on how to use the
Podcast Music Wizard.

By the way, we would really be thankful if you can
pass this following paragraph on to artists you may
know ...

"Artists who want to gain even more exposure for their
songs, have a unique opportunity in that PodcastSPOTS
is looking for artists who want to include 1 minute of
their song in the background of commercials for
sponsors. If you have a song on PodcastSPOTS, you can
create a commercial for a PodcastSPOTS sponsor, put
your song in the background and, at the end of the
commercial, identify the background song, and state
that it is for sale through PodcastSPOTS. With the
Podcast Music Wizard, each episode created by
podcasters in PodcastSPOTS' Approved Music Partner
Network, requires the inclusion of a sponsor, thus,
this is a great chance for your songs to get
additional PodPlay. Interested artists should send an
email to con...@podcastSPOTS.com"

Thanks,
Mark Kanter
co-founder PodcastSPOTS

PS Thanks for the feedback on the demo.

Thanks Shahram for your positive feedback on and off
the list.
I am happy to hear that you like the Podcast Music
Wizard software.

That was my first shot at using Camtasia to record a
demo. I hope to get better at it before we update the
demo and start charging for the software.

Thanks again for your feedback,
Mark

Hey Gang, Mark here from PodcastSPOTS,  This list has gotten very quiet lately - I have some news that may interest you though - Let me know how you are doing - Are you still podcasting?  Here's the news and some testimonials ...

The Podcast Solution we’ve all been waiting for is here!

You can record multiple tracks and create standard tracks to use in other episodes.  You can Drag n Drop songs, promos or sponsors and participate in our Revenue sharing networks.  Our networks have over 160,000 listener downloads a month and growing.

What one podcaster had to say:
“ I joined your network and within days I had 200 more subscribers and song sales from the podsafe music I found on your site.  The music store you added to my site is a great idea.  My listeners heard me play a song, I told them they could buy it right at my site and they came back and the songs were right there for them to preview and buy.  The wizard did all that for me.  I simply dragged the songs to my episode.”

Another podcaster’s comment:
“I love that the wizard lets me drag n drop a promo from another show, so easily into my episode.  The owner of the promo got an email automatically which told him I inserted their promo in my show, and next I knew, he emailed me telling me he inserted my promo in his show.  That was really cool!”

Requires Microsoft.Net Framework version 1.1.4322

Thanks

Yeah, it has been quiet on this list for a while.

My show made it into SPIN Magazine's January issue! It's probably not on newsstands anymore, but it was on page 12, in their "Spin Essentials"section, which has about 12 songs they recommend downloading, and 4 or 5 podcasts. The funny/disappointing thing was that it didn't seem to bring any new listeners, despite being printed in half a million magazines around the world. I'm not sure what's up with that.

Has anyone else gotten some major media exposure? What kind of exposure was it, and what kind of results did you see from it?

www.podsafeaudio.com was in PC Mag http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1895,1862550,00.asp and we hardly got any hits from it.  I guess people are just generally to lazy to get off their butts and type a url in.  ;  )

to date the two best mentions in terms of traffic were

1. Parade Magazine mention Nov 20th.
2. Forbes Online Article.

Both more than doubled traffic to my site and after both I saw increases in subscriber numbers.

Good info, looks like Parade and Forbes are worth the effort of submitting a press release to directly.

We were written up in AdBump early on, but I wasn't tracking stats at the time.  What I do know worked well was submitting a press release to PRWeb.  Our traffic quardrupled after our first release.

Mark -

This sounds great and all, but what if I don't want to use the
PodcastSpots Wizard 2.0? What if I'm happy with the current way of
producing my shows? Can I still take advantage of the other
benefits? And can I play music which isn't on the Podcast Spots
Network?

I'm interested, but also cautious... Thanks!

I got written up in the Tech section of the Australian. It's the big
national newspaper, millions in circulation I reckon. It was early on,
six or eight months ago. No substantial impact on the numbers though,
nothing compared to the iTunes launch.

Les, yes you can take advantage of the other benefits and produce your show the way you normally do.

The wizard has a clips button that lets you add an entire preproduced show, clip, your own songs, or any other mp3 or wav file, from your harddrive.  So you are free to add songs not on the PodcastSPOTS network, provided you have permission from the artists of course.  You can use your existing audio tools to create your show, add it to the wizard layout, then publish from within the Wizard.  Did I understand correctly that this is what you are looking to do?
