Surveys and iPods (crosspost!)

A quick note from the organizer team. A few items of business.
[1] Thank YOU for making PodCamp such a spectacular event. As we said
at the beginning, we provided the easel, canvas, and brushes. You made
the masterpieces.
[2] We've got a survey that we'd like you to complete, to tell us more
about your PodCamp experience. We've seen the hundreds of blogs,
photos, and more, but the survey will make it a little easier to
analyze. (please don't stop blogging, podcasting, and sharing, though!)
To make it more enticing, we're going to throw in two prizes. Okay,
yes, we'll be honest, we forgot about the two iPods that Tech
Superpowers donated until Monday morning looking at our desks and there
they were. So here's the deal. The iPod nano will be given away in a
random drawing on FRIDAY, September 22, 2006. The iPod video (5G) will
be given away to the survey response that is most thorough and helpful,
as judged by the organizers, also on Friday, 9/22.

[3] Speaking of statistics, here's some rough numbers about PodCamp
Boston:
Scope: 346 registered attendees; originally planned for 215.
Initial projected need: $5,000
Actual need: $10,420
Actual raised: $15,614
Peak website traffic: 18,000 unique visitors in 24 hours
Web site traffic over last 14 days: 88,559 unique visitors
Number of blog posts: 932 via technorati, 1,101 via Google Blogsearch
Number of photos: 693 on Flickr under tag podcamp, additional under
podcamp+boston
A few people asked what we're going to do with the leftover money -
save it for PodCamp Boston 2, of course!
[4] Once again, we couldn't have done it without everyone's help.
Please, post URLs to anything you recorded, photographed, or video'ed
on the site, and keep the conversation going, keep in touch with all
the new friends you've made.
[5] There will be a PodCamp DVD. For those who sponsored greater than
$100, it'll be free. For everyone else, we're going to sell it for cost
of distribution, which we currently estimate to be $4. When it's
compiled, probably in 4 - 6 weeks, we'll let you know how to get it.
