Hey folks;

I was asking Steve Garfield if he'd ever heard of a new site called
vSocial yesterday and he mentioned that his head is spinning from all
the web video sites out there. Has anyone noticed which ones are legit
and which are just hangers-on? Is there a quality control system in
place yet? Do we need one, or should we all just be happy that web
video is being legitimized by copycatting?

Thoughts?

Speaking from the perspective of a guy who was there in the earliest
days of the web, I have a strong sense of deja vu about all this.
Yes, there are hangers on and copycatters out there, a lot of rookies
(like me) who are still trying to figure this whole thing out and may
or may not succeed. But we will see a rapid maturation of the web
video space, and by this time next year, it will be a whole new ball
game... and the year after that, too...
