Gardeners,

A few updates and notes for you:

Penfield compost and chips: Although we will resupply with chips and compost, don't expect it right away. Both require dry weather and firm soil for the delivery trucks, and we are at the mercy of tree service companies for the chips. So for now, please scrape up what compost you can and use the old chip pile. Remember chips are only as good as the barrier you put down first -- newsprint or cardboard.

PHA construction: If you've been to PHA lately you've seen the construction project near the garden. I'm told that we should still have parking and access during the project, although you may have to move carefully around the equipment. Let me know if you have problems.

PHA compost: Please use the bagged compost and let me know if we need more.

Hose service: I think we'll hold off on the hoses for both gardens for a bit. But the many showers in the forecast should take care of most of your watering needs.

Street Drive: Our annual fundraise is Saturday, June 13, starting at 9 a.m. Meet at Hawkins Hall parking lot. This counts as a work day. Our next actual work day is June 6.

See you at the garden,

Jack
