Gardeners,
The hose system is installed at the Penfield Garden. Please keep these tips in mind:
Pull the hose, not the wand. Yanking on the spray attachment is a sure way to damage our hoses.
Move the hose before you charge it with water.
Notice that there is a water shutoff at the base of every hose. Turn it off when you are done.
Water the roots, not the leaves.
If a hose become damaged, let us know. In the meantime, carefully use another hose, returning it to its home aisle when done. Or hand water.
If someone is already watering, consider waiting till they are done or hand watering. If more than a couple people water at the same time, the pressure will be too low.
Water seeds and transplants when you plant them. Otherwise, watering is best done in the early morning or evening, not in the middle of the day.
