Garden Update: Hose Systems Active

Gardeners,

The hoses are out and working at both Penfield and PHA.

In both gardens:

• The water combination is the same as the shed.
• Pull the hose to move the hose. DO NOT PULL THE HOSE WAND.
• When needed, water in the early morning or evening.
• Water the dirt/roots, not the leaves.
• Release the pressure from the hose when you are done.
• Lock the water when you are done.
• You may still hand water with watering cans
• If a hose breaks and you feel able to fix it -- otherwise, let me know

At PHA:

• Please wind up the hose when you are done.

At Penfield:

• position the hose before you charge it with water.
• be careful not to drag the hose through plots
• cooperate with other gardeners who are also watering
• turn off the switch at the base of the hose when you are done.
