Hi there,

One of the features that we use at Moneyspyder in Engines is assets
(javascript, stylesheets etc) -- Engines mirrors them into the public
directory on startup. This didn't seem to be in Desert, so I wrote a
plugin to add it in.

The plugin is here:
http://code.moneyspyder.net/desert_extras/trunk/

The code is adapted from Rails Engines, but fixed up a bit. I'm not
sure if it works with Rails 2.0 -- we're using it mainly with Rails
2.2. I can't really see why it wouldn't work though.

I'm probably also going to add a plugin_migration generator, which is
another feature we used from Engines. (It just goes and checks which
plugin migrations haven't been run, and makes a new migration in your
app to run them.)

Simon.

Hi there, I just checked in the plugin migration stuff (it's ported
from Rails Engines, fixed to work with Desert). If anyone's
interested...
