PRESS EVENT: Yahoo and Carnegie Mellon University to Announce Partnership
and Industry-First Technology Collaboration

 

WHAT:                 On Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, Yahoo and Carnegie Mellon University will host a media event on CMU campus to announce a new partnership featuring an industry-first technology collaboration and a significant financial contribution.

 

WHO:                   Dr. Randy Bryant, Dean, School of Computer Science, CMU

Dr. Ron Brachman, Chief Scientist and Head, Yahoo Labs

Dr. Scott Gaffney, Senior Director of Personalization, Yahoo Labs

Dr. Tom Mitchell, Head of Machine Learning Department, CMU

 

WHEN:                 Wednesday, February 12

10:30 am - 11:00 am ET: Media Event; Executives available for briefings.

11:00 am - 12:15 pm ET: Researchers from Yahoo and CMU will also present in-depth technical presentations focused on machine learning and Yahoo personalization technology following the media event. Media are invited to attend.
