job opening at upmc

I'd like to pick yinz's brains on filling a communications specialist II position that we have open here at UPMC's Special Projects group (see https://upmcjobs.upmc.com/psc/extapp/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRS.HRS_APP_SCHJOB.GBL, job ID# 1055036).  Note we'll take a master's degree in lieu of the full experience requirement.

 

This is not a science writing position -- it's a jack-of-all trades communications position that requires a strong writer who's comfortable with numbers and working with data analysts.  We do as much work on fiscal as health policy, and relatively little medicine.

 

If you've any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.  One thing that would -- ahem -- be useful to this Pgh transplant who never took a single university course on writing is pointers on which Pgh-area writing programs we might target with some outreach.
