wilderness first aid class - last call (may be slightly off-topic)

The Nov. 6 last-call date for registering for Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group's wilderness first aid class is rapidly approaching -- again, this two-day class (Sat. & Sun., Nov. 21 & 22, the weekend before Thanksgiving) is ideal whether you're a SAR responder looking for basic first aid certification, or an outdoorsperson who wants to take better care of yourself and your friends.

 

Now it's even easier to sign up -- just go to AMRG's WFA web page (using that link), get some more details, and either use the dandy new PayPal button or snail mail a check to the address on the site.  All proceeds go to AMRG, a nonprofit regional search-and-rescue team that helps lost and injured people in the woods of southwest Pa. and beyond.
