Researchers at the University of South Florida and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology have used exquisitely detailed molecular simulations on Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center's Blacklight computer to develop a candidate material for capturing carbon dioxide. The new material could eventually lead to ways of "scrubbing" the greenhouse gas from smokestacks or car exhaust pipes.
