Fabric treatment at Tip Lens

Kevin,

I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to do my tip lenses, and I have a question about how you did the fabric at the openings.

1) Did you wrap both layers into the opening and under the lens?

 or

2) Did you cut the first layer flush with the edge, then wrap the lightweight layer into the opening?

or

3) Did you not put any fabric under the lens at all?

I'm guess option #2 is the best.
