WEEKEND RACES:
2/7/26 Camp Saratoga 8K at 10:30 AM Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park, NY Laura Clark, RD, sent this:Predictions indicate a chilly day this Saturday, but fortunately we will have the heated Lodge for registration. It is a mixture of wide, groomed trails and single track. There will be 3 intersections with course marshals. Orange flagging, directional signs and orange cones will mark the way. Dense woods will shield you from the wind.

The Gore Mountain Bowl Citizen’s 5Krace series continues on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm through 2/25/26. RD Paul let us know that they are now in the new lodge, The Stations. Downstairs for registration and upstairs for raffles following the event. It looks so welcoming, all lit up as you circle around the course—makes you want to stop early! (just kidding, sort of) We have been having huge crowds. This is the first year (so far) that Paul hasn't had to scrub a race due to weather. The raffles are awesome—fresh eggs, maple syrup, Julie's knitting, items from the gift shop.... The best thing is that it is so non-competitive and casual and you get to know the folks who come every week. Timing is by underdogracetiming and they are very flexible as to letting you start late if you get stuck in traffic or start early if you feel you need extra time. Format is up to 5 one-kilometer loops and you can choose how many you wish to do. 2/28/26 Frigus Snowshoe Festival. We’re excited to announce FRIGUS, a winter trail race coming to Moreau Lake State Park in Gansevoort, New York on February 28, 2026.
Register - https://www.endurancesociety.org/frigus
This year we’re offering two challenging and scenic distances:
4.7 miles with approximately 750 feet of climbing
15K with approximately 2,300 feet of climbing
We’ll also host a 1-mile kids race, making FRIGUS a great event for the whole family.
Thanks to an outstanding winter so far — including a recent 20-inch snowfall — the forest and trails are beautifully snow-covered. To top it off, Moreau Lake is frozen, and racers will experience a truly unforgettable finish by running across the lake to the finish line.
DION snowshoes will be on site with rentals. We'll have warm food at the finish, music, and a fire on the beach.
If you have any questions about the event, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We can’t wait to share this unique winter trail experience with you.
See you in the snow!
