I'm 22, working at TCS for the last five months. Life was monotonous.
One evening, I went to a roadside stall for pav-bhajji. Two brothers ran it—one cooked, one served. I was their first customer.
While waiting, I started talking to the younger brother, who had a great athletic build. I asked, "Do you study?"
He opened up: "I'm in first year of college. I have a chemistry practical tomorrow, and a football match in the evening."
I asked, "When will you study?"
Relaxed, he said, "I'll reach home around 11 pm, study all night, and also practice some football moves to impress my college mates."
"How do you practice?"
"No TV at home. My friends download videos for me. I watch on my mobile and practice."
His elder brother jumped in proudly, "He's a great footballer. Everyone in college calls him Ronaldo."
I asked, "Which footballer do you follow?"
His reply stunned me: "I don't have time to follow anyone. I just learn through videos and practice so that someday, everyone follows me."
"Isn't it hard managing college, the stall, and football?"
He smiled. "I enjoy what I do. College gives me a degree. Football gives me skills. This stall gives me money. Life is still very good to me. I want to support my family and my brother—he does everything so I never struggle with studies or football. He recently gifted me boots."
PS: This incident made me realize—if someone in his situation can be this happy and excited, anyone in this world can be.
Here are the terrific twins. They deserve all the limelight.
