Notification with the passing of Elizabeth ‘B.J.’ Gross Harrison, wife of Delta Golden Wings member DL Captain Albert V. Harrison.  Mrs. Harrison was 82 years of age at the time of her passing on May 30th.

Elizabeth Gross Harrison, of Port Orange, Florida passed away May 30, 2014 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia Care Center, in Port Orange. She was born in University Park, Texas on February 27, 1932. She graduated from Highland Park High School, Texas in 1949. She also attended college at Southern Methodist University (SMU), from 1950-1952, where she was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at SMU. Elizabeth was employed with Pioneer Airlines (later became Continental Airlines) in 1954 as a stewardess, where she met her husband, Albert who was a pilot with Delta Airlines. Elizabeth and Albert married in University Park, Texas on September 4, 1956. They have been married for 57 years where she was a full-time home maker, wife and Mother. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Albert Victor (A V) Harrison, son, Albert W. Harrison, daughter, Dena Harrison Hulec, three grandsons, James, Zachary and Nicholas. Elizabeth enjoyed the outdoors which included fishing, boating, swimming and gardening. She also enjoyed sewing and crafting during her many years of volunteering with the church when she resided in Miami from 1956-1992, as well as in Port Orange, Florida. Elizabeth enjoyed playing cards and was a member of several bridge and bowling clubs over the years. Elizabeth and AV enjoyed traveling across the country in their motorhome, visiting family and friends. They had a wonderful life, with homes in Miami and Islamorada (Keys), Florida and also Mineola, Texas. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by family and friends. We will all cherish her wonderful memories and continue to count them as our daily blessings. She is now at peace and reunited with her Mother and Father, Delia (Kinkade) and Charles William Gross.
