Born March 4, 1949, Randoph Warfield Young was 61 years of age at the
time of his passing July 21, 2010. Captain Young hired on with Delta
08-24-1979.

Randolph Warfield Young
March 4, 1949 - July 21, 2010
Randolph Warfield Young, 61, long time Fort Lauderdale resident
passed away on July 21st. Loving father and friend, Randy graduated
from the University of Virginia Reserve Office Training Corps and
spent his first tour as a Naval aviator flying A-7s off the USS
America under the call sign, Aardvark. He also flew the US Navy hot
air balloon and retired from Delta Air Lines as an international MD-11
Captain following a flawless 28 year career. Randy enjoyed boating,
fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. He was also a
long-time member of the Lauderdale Yacht Club. Randy is survived by
two sons, Andrew and Christopher, sister Rumsey Young, nephew William
Hiscock, and nieces Laing Meyer and Brooke Kelley. Memorial service
will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, July 31st at Fred Hunter's Funeral
Home located at SE 8th Street and US-1. In lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to Hospice Care of Southeast Florida.
