NWA Capt. Loren “Bub” Stoltz

September 3, 1936 ~ March , 2026

Noted in the May issue of the ALPA magazine’s In Memoriam page, the passing of RNPA member retired Northwest pilot Captain Loren “Bub” Dean Stoltz. Loren joined Northwest Airlines 07-10-1964 and I believe was based MSP as son Eric was born in Minnesota.

Loren was the son of Lt. Col. & Mrs. Otto W. Stoltz of Tomah, Wisconsin. Married in September 1963, Loren was widowed in 2013 with the passing of his wife Margot (brief obit below). Loren and Margot had resided in Thomasville GA, but Loren may have relocated to Tallahassee FL in later years.

I’ve not been able to locate an official online obituary for Loren. So, if anyone has more information to share, please do let us know.

Margot Spencer Stoltz, 74 of Thomasville GA, passed away December 31, 2013 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Loren Stoltz.
