Obituary  :   Martin (Marty) S. Oram passed away at the age of 84 on April 21, 2024. Marty is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Joan (Joanie) Oram. Marty found love a second time with long-time family friend Dorothy Oram (Veit Penate). Martin is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy Oram; his daughter, Charlene (Robert) Bleakley; and son, Bruce Oram; and stepdaughter, Dotti (Sebastian) Sosa; and his grandchildren, Christian and Alex Bleakley.

Marty was a retired pilot who soared the skis for commercial airlines, enriching the lives of countless passengers with his expertise and dedication. Beyond the cockpit, Marty’s zest for life was evident in his love for travel and cruises, where he explored many of the world’s wonders. Alaska and Hawaii were personal favorites.

Marty found solace in activities such as fishing and riding motorcycles, embracing the freedom of the open road. His passion for history, particularly WWII, shone brightly as he immersed himself in documentaries and books, honoring the bravery and sacrifices of those who came before him.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Though he may have taken his final flight home, his spirit will forever soar in the hearts of those he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace.
