~ IN MEMORY ~
NWA Capt. Dino Oliva
MARCH 10, 1933 ~ OCTOBER 31, 2023
From the RNPA/Retired Northwest Pilots group….the passing of a great friend and colleague….
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is always especially difficult when one of our NWA pilot leaders dies.
Perhaps especially difficult when that leader served our ranks long after
any expectations of a reasonable time. Such was the case with Dino Oliva.
Captain Dino Oliva, age 90, died at home on October 31st after a month of
medical rehabilitation.
Dino was hired by NWA on March 13, 1959. He served the NWA pilots for years
by holding ALPA LEC offices. After retirement he served RNPA (Retired NWA
Pilots Assn.) as Treasurer during an era when dues collection and recording
was a major endeavor. Until his health started to fail, Dino was a Vice President of RNPA.
Dino and his wife Karen reside in Sarasota, Florida.
There will soon be a designated pilot obituary posted on the RNPA website.
Standby for more details.
With profound respect,
Bill Day
