Delta Golden Wings member Roger Martin joined Delta Air Lines 08-15-1969 and retired with Delta in 1999. He was based FLL and then ATL. Widowed in 2025, Roger is survived by his children and their families.

Roger Martin, 86, passed away on May 26, 2026, in Boca Raton, Florida. He is survived by his beloved children: Terry and her husband Paul, Michelle, Frank and his wife Michele, and Tom and his wife Holly. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren Danielle and her husband Nate, Nicole and her husband Ben, Michael, Nicholas, and Max, as well as his great-grandchildren, Remie, Noa, Emma, and Addie. Roger is survived by his siblings, Doris, Norman, and Joel. He was preceded in death by his forever wife, Carole; his dear brothers, Ronald and Rosaire; and his sister, Dolores. We take comfort in knowing they are all reunited in heaven.
Born on July 23, 1939, in Fort Kent, Maine, to his loving parents, Antonio and Leone Martin, Roger was a very active child who was raised alongside his family on a potato farm. He often recalled staring up at the sky, admiring airplanes passing overhead. Those moments sparked dreams of a different life.
He attended Notre Dame de la Sagesse in St. Agatha, followed by Assumption Prep in Worcester, Massachusetts, and later earned his bachelor's degree from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
He married his longtime admirer, Carole Page, in 1962 at Saint Louis Church in Fort Kent, Maine. They moved to Chicago, where Carole began teaching school and Roger pursued his master’s degree in political science, but Vietnam altered his course. He ended up fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a pilot. He joined the Air Force and bravely served in Vietnam from 1965 to 1969 aboard a C-141 transporting, cargo and wounded soldiers. He later joined Delta Air Lines, where he eventually became a Captain flying L-1011s and retired in 1999.
In 1969, Roger and Carole settled in South Florida, where they built a warm and loving home to raise their children. In addition to working as a pilot, Roger has had a lifelong career as a successful commercial real estate broker, a profession he continued to pursue after retiring from Delta. Summers were spent at their cherished family camp in Eagle Lake, Maine, where Roger's children and grandchildren made lifelong memories alongside extended family. Today, the camp remains with the family for future generations to enjoy.
Roger was passionate about tennis - so passionate, in fact, that he built a court in his backyard in Miami. It became the epicenter of the Martin family, where countless nail-biting matches took place. A fierce competitor, Roger taught his children the importance of giving their best, sometimes accompanied by some passionate language. He moved to Boca Raton in 1991. When his knees could no longer keep up with the demands of the court, he turned his competitive spirit to biking. He rode 12 miles every day until his doctor and children convinced him it had become too dangerous. Even then, he somehow managed to sneak in a few more rides unbeknownst to all.
Roger's faith in Christ was the foundation of his life. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and a devoted member of Ascension Catholic Church in Boca Raton, Florida, where he also served as a lector and Eucharistic minister. Roger's legacy of love, passion, and faith will live on in the hearts of all those he touched.

Carole Page Martin, 85, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, in Boca Raton, Florida. She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Roger, and their beloved children: Terry and her husband Paul, Michelle, Frank and his wife Michele, and Tom and his wife Holly. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Danielle and her husband Nate, Nicole and her husband Ben, Michael, Nicholas, and Max, as well as her great-grandchildren, Remie and Noa. Carole is survived by her siblings, Nancy, Jack, and Peggy. She was preceded in death by her dear brother, Jim, who passed away in 2023. We take comfort in knowing they are reunited in peace.
