Obituary   Louise Clouse Magill

Louise Clouse Magill passed away on July 3, 2024, at the age of 70 in Vinings, Georgia. Born on May 13, 1954, in Griffin, Georgia, Louise grew up in a loving family and carried that warmth into every aspect of her life.

Louise attended Griffin High School, where she was active as a basketball player and cheerleader. She went on to graduate from the University of Georgia with a degree in Journalism, fostering a lifelong passion for the Bulldogs. Her career began at the Athens Banner-Herald newspaper and transitioned into a fulfilling 32-year tenure as a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines, where she met her husband, Bob Magill, a pilot, during a flight in 1981. The couple married in 1985 and shared a life full of love and adventure.

Beyond her career, Louise was known for her radiant personality and love of travel. She loved her time at Lake Burton in North Georgia, where sunset cruises became cherished rituals with family and friends. Louise was also a dedicated member of The Peachtree Church in Buckhead, reflecting her commitment to her community and faith. After retiring, Louise was active with Delta Clipped Wings, a charity organization of active and retired Delta flight attendants.

Her hobbies included gardening, where she was an active member of The Rose Garden Club of Atlanta. Louise's love for flowers paralleled the beauty and care she brought into the lives of those around her.

Louise is survived by her loving husband, Robert (Bob) Magill, and their two daughters, Courtney Magill, married to Ruben Rosario, and Hayley Magill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bettie Lee and Dr. John Edburn Clouse, her sister, Marsha Lynn Thranhardt, and her brother, John (Chip) Clouse.

In remembrance of Louise, her family will hold a private scattering of ashes. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to the Atlanta Humane Society through their American Heroes adoption program at [https://atlantahumane.org/adopt/american-heroes/]. Louise's legacy of kindness, adventure, and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her.
