Hello everyone. Has anyone done a wing skid replacement? The skids seem to be well built in the wing tips but mine have worn off and are now scratching the glasfiber.
Is it OK to drill the downwards protruding part on the wing tips  in the area where the skids are and just install a wheel?
Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have  wingtips wheels from Greg installed in my PIK20B and  LS8, good product!

Just an update on this topic

I made myself a pair of wing wheels by molding and building up a fairing - I believe the end result came out quite nicely.

Wings are attached with SIKAFLEX directly to the vertical protrusion of the wing and are holding quite sturdy. - tested to almost Vne without any problems :)

It improved massively also wing down starts when there is no wing runner around the airfield :)

All the best to everyone
