Mr. Jeff "PalmPilot" Hawkins has a new company: Numenta Inc. Aptly
named, because the idea is to breath the numen or spirit of genius into
"thinking" machines using tips from the human neocortex: lots of memory
and pattern recognition. Any day now we'll be arguing with our Treo
phones as to why we should be allowed to call out for Chinese food.
