Are the Smart really that Smart ?

I was reading a Philosophy book trying to learn more about The so
called smarter people, when I found myself going to the dictionary to
lookup words that were not known to me, when I realized, are they
really that smart putting such hard words in a book intended to teach
someone something if it seems they are going out of there way to make
it difficult.

Sometimes complex concepts just require alot of words to explain. If
they were to try to use simpler words, it would probobly end up being
much longer, because they would have to use the definition of the
words in place of the words every time. That said it is possible to
go overboard.
