FINAL CALL FOR REGISTRATION

http://www.strath.ac.uk/conferences/postcog2005/

Senior guest speakers:

Mark Johnson (University of Oregon)
Annette Karmiloff-Smith (UCL)
Susan Hurley (University of Warwick)
Rob Ellis (University of Plymouth).

The remaining papers will be presented by researchers and academics in
the related fields of psychology, philosophy of mind, linguistics and
artificial intelligence (artificial life).
Purpose: With the decline of traditional 'rules and symbols'
'cognitivist' psychology, it has been clear that new approaches are
needed. This conference will bring together researchers from a variety
of fields and approaches with a view to 'building bridges' between
researchers in disparate research areas. The extent to which these
approaches constitute a 'paradigm shift' in the Kuhnian sense, will
be a key theme of the conference.
Registration Fees:

Entire conference: £250
Day rates: Monday 4th July £100
Tuesday 5th July £150
Wednesday 6th July £100

Registration fee for Postgraduate students:

Entire conference: £150
Day rates: Monday 4th July £70
Tuesday 5th July £120
Wednesday 6th July £70

Inquiries, email Brendan Wallace: B.Wa...@socsci.gla.ac.uk
Please note that applications for accommodation/registration MUST be in
before the conference starts: i.e. 2nd post (roughly noon) 4th July. In
order to ensure that registration forms are received before this time,
we recommend that all forms are posted on or (preferably)before Friday
1st July 2005.
It should also be noted that accommodation is scarce: the sooner
applications are received, the sooner accommodation can be arranged.
Conference delegates who are unsure whether they will be able to send
their booking forms before the Friday deadline should attempt to fax
the document to (0141) 548 4878: or else send it as an email attachment
to Dr Brendan Wallace (email address above), Dr Alastair Ross
(alastai...@strath.ac.uk) or Tony Anderson
(Tony.A...@strath.ac.uk). If there are any difficulties with this
process, please email Dr Brendan Wallace.
The booking form is available for download on
