Subject: Call for Manuscripts: Teacher Education & Practice
Importance: High

Dear Dr. Cunningham,

I trust this message finds you well and enjoying a successful beginning to the new semester. By way of introduction, I am editor of Teacher Education & Practice, a national/international read peer-reviewed journal published by Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group. Lynda Stone suggested I contact you. Currently I am working on a special theme issue entitled, "Teacher Education Priorities for a Democratic Society."

Concerning the theme of this issue, "Teacher Education Priorities for a Democratic Society," this theme is concerned with current perspectives on the priorities for teacher education and the work of preparing teachers for their role in a democratic society. Along this line, the theme is concerned with substantive treatment of identifying and exploring the priorities that teacher educators and others invested in teacher education believe to be of critical importance. These will be priorities that are perceived as important to defining the work of teacher education in preparing teachers to enter schools. In particular, these priorities identified would reflect, in part, the political, pedagogical, and moral demands that democratic society places on education and schooling. Herein the emphasis might be further delineated to that of preparing teachers to enter schools and teach students who will take on the responsibilities of citizens in a democratic society and all the tensions that define that society.

Manuscripts should be 20-25 double-spaced pages with references and follow APA 5th Edition guidelines. The manuscript submission should include a cover page with title, author position and contact information (physical address, phone, fax, e-mail, etc.), an abstract page with 150-200 word abstract. Contributing authors should use 1" margins and Times New Roman size 12 font. All headings and format, as well as all tables, figures, graphics should conform to APA 5th Edition.

Contributing authors may submit their manuscript via e-mail attached file using Word formatted files (not Vista).

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.

Take care and be well,

Patrick
