Hello Futurists!

A quick reminder that the next Future Salon is not tonight but next
Thursday with Bob Walters and Tess Kissinger from DinoArt (http://
www.dinoart.com)
regarding the importance of visual representation of animals and
fossils in science, beauty and art and some of the current modern
technology tools such as digital scanning and other technologies.

FUTURE SALON SPEAKERS:
Bob Walters

Bob Walters studied art at the Acadmy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia and
has been a professional dinosaur life restoration artist for more than
twenty years with artworks on permanent display in museums across the
country. Bob is working with scientists at the Smithsonian on the
"Virtual Triceratops" project, the first scientific attempt to
discover how Triceratops looked and moved by animating digital scans
of the bones.

Tess Kissinger

Tess Kissinger is a Carnegie Mellon University trained artist with
twenty years of art and design experience including work on display in
the Creative Discovery Museum, Chattanooga, the Academy of Natural
Sciences, Philadelphia, and The Delaware Museum of Natural History,
among others. Tess' current projects include a series of fine art
paintings including the skulls of ceratopsian dinosaurs as subject
material and co-curating two dinosaur artwork exhibits.
