House Vote Set on Prompt Pay, AMP, DME Provisions Tuesday
SPECIAL BULLETIN
The House of Representatives is now scheduled to vote Tuesday, June
24, on H.R.6331, which includes provisions for a 14-day reimbursement
cycle for Medicare Part D claims, a delay in AMP-based Medicaid
generic drug cuts, and suspension of the Medicare DME competitive
bidding program.
NCPA has worked closely with the House leadership to move this bill to
a vote. It is similar to S.3101, pending in the Senate.
H.R.6331 will be brought to the House floor under a parliamentary
procedure that requires a two-thirds vote for passage.
We need every pharmacy owner and every pharmacy employee to contact
their Representative on Monday and Tuesday and urge them to support
H.R. 6331. It is especially important that Republican lawmakers be e-
mailed or called.
Go to the grassroots section of the NCPA Web site to send an e-mail.
You can call the Capitol switchboard at
202-224-3121 and asked to be
connected to your Representative.
House passage of H.R.6331 will send a strong message to the Senate to
keep the three pharmacy provisions in S.3101 or include them in any
compromise bill.
