Term Care. InSite isthe first remote dispensing system designed
exclusively for long-term carefacilities and the patients in their

Orleans. Thefirst installations of the InSite system are operating in
Texas, and eachInSite unit will deliver an estimated 1.5 million oral

Long-Term Care, medication waste isvirtually eliminated. The hardware
and software solution cuts nursingmedication prep time in half and

InSite allows an institutional pharmacy to place a secure,
freestandingremote dispensing system at each long-term care facility

The InSite Remote Dispensing System improves the partnership

are submitted tothe institutional pharmacy for clinical review, and
approved orders areavailable immediately from the remote dispensing
unit at the facility. Ratherthan filling medication orders for 30 days
at a time, InSite enablesmedications to be sorted by patient and
packaged at the facility. The clearlylabeled multi-dose and single-
dose packages are prepared on demand withpatient name, med pass time
and a detailed listing of each medication.Medication usage is
monitored at the institutional pharmacy to providecomplete inventory
control and medication canisters are safely filled andsecured for
transportation to the facility as needed.

wasreduced by about 75%, and the institutional pharmacy was able to
reduce thenumber of trips made to the facility each week, and Medicare
