That looks like a pretty good start Doug. The walk looks good, but the critter is still a bit stiff. Perhaps a little sawy to teh trunk, and a little bounce or movement to the ears would liven it up, maybe even a mistep or have one stride a touch longer at some point, just to make it look more natural. --- On Mon, 9/29/08, Knapp <magic...@gmail.com> wrote:
Both the body and the trunk do sway side to side but maybe I could do
something with the ears. A mistep means doing a whole new step by
hand. This is really just heel strike to heel strike repeated. Maybe
some up and down bouncing to the head would help. Unlike doing a
human, where you can use the hands, fingers and shoulders, hips,
ankles and toes to liven it up, here you have very little to change. I
think I would do a bit more with the toes though.
How goes the plot??
Thanks,
I'm screwed down so tight with work right now that I can't touch anything else for at least a month. It's really founling things up....

Seems like all of us have gone through some trials this summer. I hope
we can get back the core people. If not, I will go look for
replacements but I don't want to and really want to see your next
rewrite!
What has you screwed down tight?
I am rerendering the night walker now with some ear moves, I took out
the bounce in the end of the trunk and reduced the body bounce and
moved the light to the front of the path. Hope it looks better. It
takes like 2 hours to render.
We had a guy decide to leave and change professions to something that actually makes money, then had a client screw us by delaying on decision making for 3 months, but then wanting everything on the original date. So, down 2 people now, with just over double the workload we were supposed to have. SUCKS! Lots of unpaid OT.

I think of all of us, I was the lucky one in that what got me was to
much of a good thing. I hope your work can turn your problem into a
good outcome!
When I first started my TCM practice my first patient came in with
ankle pain. I put in 2 needles and then he go sick and through up in
my trash can! This is in a really small town where your rep is
everything! I thought, I am dead now. I never heard from him again.
God knows what horible things he was out there saying about me. It was
it first time with alternative medicine.
Then about 2 weeks latter my next patient showed up. I thought maybe
this would go better. I prayed it would go better! I asked her how she
had heard about me. She said that she was a waitress at a local bar
and restaurant. She had had a guy come in and tell her about his ankle
pain and barfing. He was very happy and never had any more pain and
said I was great. She was my pt for some time after than and things
ended up going well. :-)
You never know about life.

Zen Buddhist Stories
Maybe (Taoist story)
There was an old farmer who had worked his crops for many years. One
day his horse ran away. Upon hearing the news, his neighbors came to
visit. "Such bad luck," they said sympathetically.
"Maybe," the farmer replied. The next morning the horse returned,
bringing with it three other wild horses. "How wonderful," the
neighbors exclaimed.
"Maybe," replied the old man. The following day, his son tried to ride
one of the untamed horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. The
neighbors again came to offer their sympathy on his misfortune. "What
horrible luck," the neighbors intoned.
"Maybe," answered the farmer. The day after, military officials, from
a dreadful war, came to the village to draft young men into the army.
Seeing that the son's leg was broken, they passed him by. The
neighbors congratulated the farmer on how well
things had turned out.
"Maybe," said the farmer.
