Giving Back" is a new documentary film produced, directed and hosted by Meera Gandhi, the CEO and founder of the Giving Back Foundation.
The documentary follows Meera Gandhi www.MeeraGandhi.com <http://www.meeragandhi.com/> on her journey tracing the inspiring philanthropic endeavors of several of her well known friends, including Cherie Blair, Bono, Kerry Kennedy, Raj Loomba, interior designer Clodagh, Hilary Clinton, Homayra Sellier, Steven Rockefeller and many others. Their very personal stories, and Meera's own recollections of Mother Teresa's Asha Dan, will touch your heart. The film premiered in New York City in July 2010 at an event hosted by Quest Magazine. Six more screenings are scheduled in the U.S.A, the U.K and India in November 2010.
Meera Gandhi, who heads up The Giving Back Foundation, www.TheGivingBackFoundation.net <http://www.thegivingbackfoundation.net/> was raised in Mumbai and in Dublin, Ireland. She and her husband Vikram and their three children currently reside in New York, Hong Kong and London.
The Giving Back Foundation has operations in New York, London and Hong Kong. It was launched in
2010 as a catalyst to aid women and young children, and to assist directly in education, curing illness and alleviating poverty around the world.
"Awareness is the first step towards change," says Meera, who firmly believes that "we are to the universe only as much as we give back to it."
After the film we will discuss helping others and finding organizations that
are doing great work and can be even more effective with extra assistance.
