Bloomberg’s claim of Infallibility and the meaning of fanatical fascism

Very few people will re-call this, but four years ago when Michael Bloomberg defeated his main Democratic opponent Fernando Ferrer there were a bunch of Democrats many of whom were former Ferrer campaign supporters and staffers who all of a sudden started carrying signs that said “Democrats for Bloomberg.” One would think that with the defeat of one’s main opponent the Mayor would be wasting money trying to recruit members of the opposition camp. To the average observer all of this didn’t make any sense. On the other hand if one looks at the reputation that is being built by Mayor Bloomberg one begins to realize that the Mayor has much higher aspirations and is seen by some as a figure that is able to transcend politics. Before the elections began these supporters of the Mayor’s floated the idea of a Bloomberg Presidency, however, due to the slate of other candidates including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who themselves had many supporters, the Mayor realized he would run a losing campaign and he repeatedly said in his interviews that he does not run to lose.

Currently, Mayor Bloomberg is attempting to portray an image of infallibility for the 2009 Mayoral campaign. And in fact, his main opponent Democrat Comptroller Bill Thompson was considering dropping out of the New York City Mayoral race himself due to pressure and some convincing from the Mayor. The other suggested opponents including City Council Speaker Christine Quinn did drop out of the Mayoral race, and so did Anthony Weiner. Both candidates had a base of Democratic supporters and stood a good chance of challenging the Mayor and winning the race, especially if President Barack Obama were to campaign for them against the Mayor. The truth is that Mayor Bloomberg is not very popular with the average New York voter; however, Bloomberg is very popular with liberal organizations in the city and even liberal churches. The reason is because he puts out a lot of funding for organizations and churches in order to build up a reputation as an infallible charitable Messiah. And by many of these secular groups he is seen as some sort of bi-partisan savior, especially since economic times are hard and the leaders of churches and organizations need the cash in order to continue business as usual. So one is posed with the question, why is Thompson still in the race, especially when the black churches and the Democratic Party have all thrown in their hats with Bloomberg. The answer is that Thompson is in the race to lose.

There is another candidate on the Democratic side; he is someone who has stood up to Bloomberg on many issues including the skyrocketing rents and the rising disparities of wealth between the rich and the poor, his name is Tony Avella and he is currently an elected official and City Councilman from Queens. He has a hardcore base of Democratic supporters and even though he has raised very little money, under four hundred thousand compared to Bloomberg’s 50 million dollars, the media cannot ignore him completely because he is an elected official and so he does have a platform to speak from. Avella was also being encouraged to drop out of the race by Bill Thompson and Bloomberg, so as to help shape Bloomberg’s image of infallibility, unlike all the other candidates that had a price Avella refused to take the bait and stayed in the race. Thompson is there to steal the thunder and to make sure that Avella remains an obscure and unknown figure nationally speaking. Bloomberg on the other hand has promised all the leaders of our city great rewards if they go along with his anti-democratic scheme. The reward will come when Bloomberg becomes the next president. As a manufactured infallible figure Bloomberg will have something in common with another well known historical figure who was able to shape an image of infallibility with the help of billionaires, his name was Adolf Hitler. During the rise of Adolf Hitler, there were times when Hitler promised his Jewish supporters that his anti-Semitism was only propaganda and that they need not worry about it because once he had power he would make sure they would be safe. Bonds that are shaped with the money of totalitarian fascists are bonds that are meant to be broken, and all of the people who believe that Bloomberg is charitable and is handing out money left and right for benevolent purposes are people who will one day realize that they are being terribly deceived.

As of the current moment the system of government of the United States has gone through a major shift. The Federal Reserve Bank has been given the authority to control any company whose activity it believes could threaten the economy and the markets. In effect a quiet coup de tate has taken place, and the interests Bloomberg represents are now even more powerful than they were before. So even though some skeptics may say that Bloomberg cannot succeed in becoming President of the United States because he is a relatively unknown figure, the fact is that the United States in four years will have a completely different composition of elections, mainly manipulated electronic voting systems and other means that will be easily susceptible to fraud, and of course once Bloomberg is declared the winner, how will the average voter be able to question his success, the media will point out his record of bi-partisanship and his infallibility as Mayor and also it will be pointed out that he is the first Jewish President and that would be seen as very progressive especially after Obama the first Black president.

President Barack Obama recently had a meeting with Mayor Bloomberg, in fact at the white house press corp. dinner Obama Joked that “next week I will be meeting with a ruthless totalitarian dictator, Michael Bloomberg.” The media never talked about what this meeting would be about; however, by analyzing the events that took place afterwards we can draw our own conclusions. Anthony Weiner was seen as the favorite Mayoral candidate and with the rising tide of Democrats and the support of Obama, Weiner would have been the likely winner of the Mayoral race. It was at this meeting between Bloomberg and Obama that Obama was made aware of the fact that Michael Bloomberg is planning a run for president and that he needs to maintain his image of infallibility, therefore he cannot allow himself to be defeated by a Democratic opponent. A week afterwards Anthony Weiner announced his dropping out of the race and endorsed Bill Thompson as the Democratic candidate; this was done at the Israeli day parade of all places, ensuring a victory for Bloomberg with Democratic Jewish voters who would normally have voted for Weiner, a known Zionist and supporter of Israel. Bloomberg on the other hand has a shady reputation amongst Jewish voters due to his closeness with political extremist Lenora Fulani who has made anti-Semitic statements such as “Jews are the killers of people of color.” Bloomberg however, still funds Fulani’s after school program known as the all-stars project and continues to accept her support from the independence party as well as her influence within the Green Party.

Barack Obama, unlike Tony Avella was not committed enough to Democratic principles to oppose Bloomberg, although we must give Obama credit for telling us the truth in that one joke that he made at the white house press corp. dinner the fact is that Obama sold out the voters of New York City as well as the entire country by his agreement with Bloomberg to allow Bloomberg to run unopposed by any of the mainstream Democratic opponents. Having Weiner endorse Thompson at the Israel parade was a slap in the face of many Jews because of the fact that Thomson was endorsed by Charles Barron and is supported by many nationalist black politicians which the Jewish community considers to be anti-Semitic. In effect what Obama did was to ensure the defeat of the Democratic Party first in New York City and then nationally in the next Presidential election when Bloomberg will challenge Obama on the Republican ticket.

There are dangerous fanatical religious Jewish groups that are behind Bloomberg’s campaign. These groups may claim to represent Zionism but Zionism began as a secular philosophy and was tolerant of democratic ideas. This new brand of right wing Zionism that is being promoted by Bloomberg and his coalition of messianic Jews as well as some so-called “Christians” is a new form of clericalism and fascism. There is no doubt that there will never again be a system and a leadership as brutal and barbaric as the Nazis, however, that does not mean that the planned New World Order will be much better. The economic system of capitalism and control by the very few at the top will only get worse and will closely resemble the systems that existed under the Nazis. A pacifist movement will stand a chance to win the empathy of the bulk of the people who will still have some influence within the system, but even such a movement has no precedent in history when it comes to defeating fascism and ultimately this movement has no guaranty of success. While we have the freedom to organize and use internet technology for our purposes we must organize to stall the progression of this planned takeover, if this means supporting Tony Avella and continuing to campaign for Obama then this is what we must do while we build a new political party that stands a chance to put forward more liberal democratic socialist ideas of governance and society. No racial group should ever again have a superior status attached to them because of their race, whether it be Jews or anyone else we cannot allow a leader to ever encourage the belief that there are chosen races and that therefore it is ok and good to enslave other groups that are not willing to submit to the leader’s authority. This ideology is fanatical and undemocratic and goes against the enlightenment and everything good and democratic that human civilization has fought for including the secular establishment of Israel and the principles of Zionism.
