Tomorrow night is the last opportunity to comment on the currently
proposed city budget. The Assembly had a work session last Friday
where $200,000 pool operation funding was added by Traini and Tesche.
Assembly Chair Coffey then passed out a resolution from the Assembly
appointed Budget and Finance Committee which suggested reducing the
entire city budget to approximately the 2007 level of funding - this
would be a cut of $905,572 to the Parks and Recreation budget. I've
attached copies of two documents; one is the BFC resolution and one
is the response from Jeff Dillon detailing the budget impacts.
Please pass this info along quickly. If you can make it to the
assembly meeting, your voice would be appreciated. Last week, public
testimony did not start until after 7:30 PM
