Pool advocates,

The final Anchorage School District community discussion on high schools of the 21st century is from 7-9 p.m. this Thursday, November 29^th in the South High Commons. These talks are open to parents, students, staff and community members. ASD is looking at all aspects of high school education to create a vision for the next decade on how to educate 21st century learners.

While academics are the focus of these meetings, physical education and athletic programs play into the vision for high school education. This is a wonderful opportunity to advocate for health and fitness (including aquatics) at the high school level and establishes a grass roots support for pools and swimming.

Thank you for all the energy you have put into this issue. I know this is a busy time of year for everyone; your efforts are greatly appreciated and will benefit our children and the community.
