Returning to Squash

Hey,

Anyone interested in starting back up with squash on Monday?  So we can get back to our summer bodies by 2022/2023??

Here is the breakdown of the court situation so far:

• Drexel is $50/month, unlimited, opening June 21
• Squash center is $65/month, 8 reservations, projected opening July 6th
• Penn is $70/month, unlimited, currently open

• Drexel and Penn have limits based on the academic calendars; if past history is a guide Penn's limits are far more restrictive than Drexel's
• Drexel and Squash Center are only offering monthly memberships for now, Penn offers an annual alternative
• Squash Center offers an unlimited membership that is more costly
• All three facilities may have different pricing options for students, faculty and staff

Both Penn and Drexel have limited us in the past based on team and club play but this is what is posted.

• Penn - Monday-Friday 8:00am-12:00pm, 4:00pm - 8:00pm

                    Saturday-Sunday 10:00am-4:00pm

• Drexel 

Monday-Thursday			7:00am - 9:00pm
Friday			7:00am - 8:00pm
Saturday & Sunday			10:00am - 6:00pm

• Squash Center - not sure of the hours yet

For Penn pricing where did you see $70 per month?  Was that a discount for previous members?  I see 1050/year ($87.5 per month for public) on their website.

I am looking forward to returning but likely not for a few weeks due to a knee injury.  I would do either Penn or the new Squash Center.  I feel like the court reservation system at Drexel was problematic given the size of our group.

Though keep in mind that Drexel’s membership also gives you access to the gym, the pool etc. (may matter to some more than others). None of that is available in the Squash center. Not sure about Penn but presumably also not included.

Hi,

There is a Founding membership tier at Penn that is not yet published on the website; $70/month - basically this is for anyone who was previously a member at Penn Squash; otherwise Penn is $100/month for alumni and community, $70/month for faculty/staff, $25/month for students (discounts for anyone who signs up for the entire year). 

Yes, Drexel's membership gives you full access to the entire facility including workout areas, machines, aerobics, swimming pool and climbing wall.

Penn's membership does not include access to any of the gyms.

I was unaware that the Squash Center will be offering access to a workout room.

When I checked with the Squash Center a month ago they told me no gym/workout room access is included. Did they change the rules? Worth following up.

I hate to say it but i'm leaning towards Penn. They just updated the site.  It is $70 per month for Founding Members (or $62.5 per month if paid annually.) and the big upside is unlimited play. 

The Squash Center says $65/month for 8 reservations.

Did you get your membership reactivated?

From what they tell me the membership team is only available from 10 - 2; I plan on getting there midday to renew my membership and then returning again tonight to play.
