Two cool things are happening today! Come on out to:
UPenn aKDPhi Presents: MENTAL HEALTH TALK WITH DR. YU-HENG GUO - 7PM, JMHH F50
Come join the sisters of alpha Kappa Delta Phi Theta Chapter in learning about mental health issues within the APA community at Penn with Dr. Yu-Heng Guo. Find out how you can access different mental health services available to the Asian population in the Philadelphia area.
Dr. Guo works in the Southeast Asian clinic at Hall-Mercer, where they provide mental health services to mostly non-English speaking Asian patients dealing with mental health issues. He has given mental health talks in the community, to churches, undergraduate students, and medical students, in efforts to raise awareness and decrease the stigma surrounding mental health treatment. He plays and coaches basketball in the Asian community as a way to reach out to the youth.
Snacks and refreshments will be served! See you there!
On April 21, 2015 from 8:00 - 9:30 PM in Harnwell Dungeon, YOU will be the admissions officer evaluating profiles of “applicants.” There will be a discussion about affirmative action and the importance of diversity afterwards. Join us for this insightful discussion and (of course) some food! Bring your friends along too :D
