Meeting Recap/Upcoming Events

[Penn Irish]

Thanks to everyone who came out to our meeting!

For those of you who missed it, here are the highlights:

Irish Traditional Music and Dance Festival is this week. I've gotten a few emails - if you would like to attend as a group, let me know what day/time you would like to go (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, multiple days, after vs night etc). http://www.philadelphiaceiligroup.org/2014pcgfestival/ 

GBMs are scheduled for every other Monday at 6pm. Some will be discussions about Irish culture, mythology, and folklore; others will be movie/tv nights; and a few will be Irish language workshops, just to name a few upcoming topics. If you have a favorite topic you would like to explore, let me know!

Monthly Ceilis will be held the first Tuesday of every month.

Step Dance Lessons: There will be lessons tomorrow night. Email er...@sas.upenn.edu for more information / to be put on the listserv.

Set/Ceili Dance Lessons: There will be lessons at the end of most GBMS after the general meeting. 

Multicultural BYOs/Pub Outings/Trad Sessions: These are among the upcoming events planned throughout the semester - be sure to keep an eye out for more about them.

Gaelic Football: If you would like to learn more about the sport and attend the first practice, please let me know. I will be emailing the general group when I put together an official date, but it is helpful to gauge the amount of interest we have in putting this together.
