Blessings and all good, fellow penitents, friends, inquirers, affiliates, and assoicates of the Confraternity of Penitents,

Please continue your prayers for Tommy, the child who is so very ill and close to death. Here is the latest report on this boy. May God reward you for your prayers.

Tommy is still struggling every day, actually more like every second, I am
sending you his journal from his mom for Sunday. It will give a picture of
how his days are going right now. Very rough. I haven't really update
because he is just continuously getting worse. His bilirubin number worsened
to 46.2. On Saturday, he projectile vomited blood for a while. Sunday, he
had an uncontrollable nose bleed and then stopped breathing. Every day is a
gift for the family to spend with Tommy and they don't take that for
granted. I just don't know what else to say. Thank your friends for the
continuous prayers. The family says they can feel the prayers pouring in
especially when the days are long and very painful.

Hello from Baltimore.  Let me start at the beginning.  2 am Tommy's nose
started to bleed and Mommy tried to get it stopped.  4:30 call to Daddy at
the Baltimore house to come quickly.  5:30 starting to vomit blood and blood
out of nose.  PRAYERS.  Platelets, Plasma, and Cryo given to try to get the
bleeding stopped.  PRAYERS.  Doctors and nurses buzzing about the room
trying to get it stopped.   PRAYERS.  Daddy has been working with nurse
Courtney throughout the morning to suction blood.  PRAYERS.  Mommy handing
Daddy wipes and tissues to get some of the blood.  PRAYERS.  Mommy and Daddy
crying their eyes out.  PRAYERS.  10:30 blood everywhere and flow is like a
run-away freight train.  PRAYERS.  The last resort is Factor 7, that is not
normally used under these situations, but is the last choice.  PRAYERS.  At
the time this was finishing going in, it is believed that he had a huge
blood clot being coughed up.  PRAYERS.  Tommy stopped breathing, eyes
rolled, and went cold.  PRAYERS.  Time stood still.  PRAYERS.  Tommy, after
many seconds draws a breath.  PRAYERS.  He is gurgling from all of the blood
that he has been throwing up and we are waiting to see if Factor 7 works.
PRAYERS.  The bleeding begins to subside.  PRAYERS.  His nose continues to
bleed and Daddy pinches off and it finally stops after a long time.
PRAYERS.  Factor 7 works!!!!  Factor 7 works!!!

He is now under heavy pain meds and has been in the same position for the
entire day.  He continues to get Factor 7 every two hours.  He needs
clotting factors to continue to work.  He is now on his second bag of reds.
He was down to 4.8 and this is much lower than it has ever been.

This is a day that I wish no other parent would have to go through.  We are
thankful to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit on this Pentecost Sunday for
returning our boy to us.  Not our will, but Your will Lord.  We are very
blessed to be the parents of this amazing boy and to have so many family and
friends to support us.

God Bless and good night from Baltimore.  We are physically and emotionally
spent.  We have praying for an uneventful night, as we live hour by hour
with our sweet Tommy.
