We received this urgent prayer request from Shana Buck. Please keep Tommy and his family in your prayers.

 

PRAYER REQUEST

Hi you wonderful prayer warriors! My little friend Tommy is in need of some serious prayers. He had a peripheral stem cell transplant, using the stem cells from his brother Nicholas, earlier this month and he is seriously suffering. -Khriste

5/18:  This is an update from his family:  Still in lots of pain today, pushing pain pump button and rolling around in agony. Surgeons were in last night, think he may have a blockage. X-ray of intestines  showed lots of inflammation. X-ray of the lungs showed the capillaries on right side around heart shutting down. We think because he is in so much pain and holds his breath and does not take deep breaths. The tube down his nose for meds became displaced so we cannot use it this morning. Tommy's liver is shutting down. His bilirubin numbers are up and overnight his belly has expanded seven inches with fluid. An ultrasound has been ordered to see if it is due to graft vs. host or veno occlusive disease from prior chemo therapy. Thanks for all the prayers which have been his lifeline.

Update two 5/19:  Tommy's family has the option of experimental medication in ICU (and his chances are not good) or going home and preparing for him to die.
