From the Telegraph of 16 Aug 2021: IVES David “Boppie” passed away peacefully at home with family around him on 12th August 2021, aged 85. Dearly loved husband of Rachel for 61 years. Much-loved father of Martin, Suzie and Duncan, grandfather and great-grandfather. Family funeral service, no flowers please, donations to St Nicholas Hospice, Bury St Edmunds. Thanksgiving service in the spring, details to follow. Forever in our hearts, he will be greatly missed.
He was s of John Henry Gell IVES 1900-80 by his 14 Feb 1924 m reg Q1 Hants to Blanche Emilie Hayter JONES 1902-98. He m 1960 Rachel Diana LUXMOORE-MAY b 1937 reg Q3 Surrey. Their d Susan (Suzie) Rachel b 1962 reg Q4 Avon m 2nd (she was widow of Jonathan Dent) Sir Christopher HAWORTH 4th Bt b 1951 and had a son (Oliver b 1996 ha to his father) and a dau.
