He m 1972 Roseann b 1945 d of Adm Sir Charles Edward MADDEN 2^nd Bt 1906-2001 and Olive 1907-89 d of George Winchester ROBINS 1874-1939 of Caldy, Cheshire by his 5 Sep 1906 m (St Hildeburgh's, Hoylake) to Gertrude Annie HILTON 1877-1968, and had two sons.

Rae Hutchinson was the second daughter of the publisher Sir George Thompson HUTCHINSON, Kt Bach (18 IV 1857 -  19 XII 1931) and his wife (married 12 V 1886), Frances Octavia CORNWALL (c.1865 - 1941).
