He was s of Wing Cdr Michael James Beaumont YOUNG DFC and Nina Mary Aline 1911-81 d of Frank Evelyn SEELY TD 1864-1928 (s of Sir Charles SEELY 1 Bt 1833-1915) and his 2 w Gertrude Fanny OBE 1882-1967 d of Henry Edward THORNTON 1842-1926 of The Wymeshead, Kegworth, Derbyshire and his 1 w Katherine Charlotte 1842-1906 d of Pascoe St Leger GRENFELL 1798-1879 (f of 1 Baron GRENFELL 1841-1925) and his 1 w Catherine Anne d 1845 eldest d of James DU PRE MP 1778-1870 sometime head of that gentry family of Wilton Park and Madelina d of Sir William MAXWELL 4 Bt d 1812 and his w & cousin Katharine BLAIR d 1798 heiress of Adamton. He m 1970 Sonia Margaret SMITH.
