Beloved mother of Rose, Margot, Caroline and David died peacefully at home on 7th November 2015 aged 94 years. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Private Funeral Service. Donations, if desired, to St. Luke’s Hospice c/o A W Burrows & Son, Family Funeral Directors, Swanley, Nantwich CW5 8QB. Memorial service to be announced.

She was d of Lt-Col John LESLIE DSO MC (1888-1965) and Margaret (Margot) Nanette Helen GILLIAT (1891-1973), and a scion of the SKIPWITH Bts. She m 1947 Maj The 6th Marquess of CHOLMONDELEY GCVO MC (1919-90) and had a son (the present 7th Marquess) and three daus.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Hon. Mary Morrison (Lady in Waiting) at a Service to Celebrate the Life of Lavinia, Marchioness of Cholmondeley which was held at St. Oswald's Church, Malpas, Cheshire, this afternoon.
