From the Telegraph of 4 Jan 2021: SCARLETT The Hon Peter Richard, son of the late Lord and Lady Abinger. Suddenly at home on 24th December 2020, aged 59. Beloved husband of Sharon, much loved Dad to Lucy and Harry. Private funeral. A memorial to celebrate his wonderful life will be held at a later date. No flowers please. Donations may be offered to Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance...
He was his brother the 9th Baron's heir presumptive and was s of 8th Baron ABINGER (1914-2002) and Isla Carolyn (1925-2011) d of Vice Adm James William RIVETT-CARNAC CB CBE DSC (1891-1970, s of Sir George Clennell RIVETT-CARNAC 6th Bt (1850-1932)) and his 1st w Emily Louisa CRABBE (1854-94). He m 1992 Sharon Elizabeth (b 1964 reg Q3 Devon) d of Derek S TURL (b 1938 reg Q3 Devon)) by his 1961 m (reg Q3 Devon) to Jean E E BINNIE (b c1940 reg Q1 Devon), and had a son and a dau. His son, HARRY ALEXANDER Scarlett (b 30 April 1997) is heir presumptive to his Uncle Abinger.
