_. The Baron Leach of Fairford, life peer, merchant banker (Jardine Matheson) who set up Open Europe, to provide constructive scrutiny of the EU, died 12 June, 2016.  He was 82.

Charles Guy Rodney Leach was b at Dublin, 1 June, 1934; married (1) 1963, (div  1989) Felicity Ballantyne; married 2ndly, 1993, Mrs Jessica Douglas-Home, widow of Charles Douglas-Home, sometime editor of The Times, and scion of the Earls of Home. She survives him together with two sons and three daughters of the 1st marriage.

Death from Times of 15 June 2016: LEACH  Charles Guy Rodney, Lord Leach of Fairford, died peacefully on 12th June 2016, aged 82. A small funeral for family and close friends will be held on Monday 20th June, at 2pm, St Swithin's Church, Quenington, Gloucs. No flowers please. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in London in September.
