From the Telegraph of 8 Aug 2025: Mr A.T.O. Chamberlain and Miss M.I. Plowden - The engagement is announced between Alexander, son of Mr and Mrs Christopher Chamberlain, of White Colne, Essex, and Mary, daughter of Mr and Mrs Roger Plowden, of Lydbury North, Shropshire.

Mary Isabel b 1997 d of Roger Godfrey Paul PLOWDEN b 1953 (s William Francis Godfrey PLOWDEN 1925-2021 who he succ. as) head of that gentry family of Plowden by his 1995 m to Helen Mary Errington b 1959 d of Ralph Newman GILBEY 1925-2016 (2xgt gs of Henry GILBEY 1789-1842 f of Sir Walter GILBEY 1^st Bt 1831-1914) and Barbara b 1928 d of Rev Francis Errington SCOTT of Hatfield Heath, Essex.

Mrs Barbara Errington GILBEY, née SCOTT, died on 10 February 2000. Her father, the Rev Francis Errington SCOTT (1885 - 27  II 1966), married her mother, Ada Mary FABER (9 XI 1889 - 3 XI 1981), of that landed gentry family, on 19 June 1918.  Her eldest sister, Helen Mary Frances SCOTT (1922 - 22 X 2018), was the wife (married c.1949) of Capt Peter Hugh Kennedy MERRIAM (1922 - 31 VII 2004), a grandson of the 3rd Marquess of Ailsa.
