This event led me to recall Mary Honywood, née Waters, wife of a direct ancestor of the Honywood Baronets. She lived 1527 to 1620, and is known for, among other things. the fact that she lived to see 367 living descendants in her lifetime (16 children, 114 grandchildren, 228 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.

This fact can be seen in the DNB:

See also Wikipedia:

Apparently someone by the 18th Century had compiled a list showing all 367 descendants. Rev. William Cole, writing to Horace Walpole on 16 May 1762, giving comments and corrections to his "Anecdotes of Painting in England", wrote: "Dr Michael Honywood was Dean of Lincoln... In his printed epitaph it is stated that his grandmother (not his mother) lived to see 367 (not 365) persons descended from her. As to the number, it must be accurate, as the several persons of each generation being cast up make all together 367, else I should not so readily have depended upon my authority."

" Mary Honywood, née Waters, wife of a direct ancestor of the Honywood Baronets"

That should say "wife of a brother of a direct ancestor of the Honywood Baronets".

I decided to work out, and publish, a ranking of the oldest title holders, combining both peers and baronet; Unterstein is an excellent resource for the peerage, but I do find it useful to track "all" of the oldest in one place.  See: Oldest living hereditary peers / baronets.  For now I have listed those born 1930 or earlier, but I do plan to extend this in time.

Sir Filmer was the 15th oldest holder of a hereditary title, 9th oldest baronet, and 6th oldest baronet where this is the highest title.

Is Sir Roger Ricardo Poore, 7th Bt. alive? Some pages give his year of death 2005.

DPB Online is still showing Sir Roger Ricardo Poore, 7th Bt (b. 1930) as alive.

He succeeded in 1899.
